Happy Birthday daddy

So finally today, to his great joy and pleasure,(snicker) my dad is turning a year older, 54 long years are now weighing on his shoulders and he is definitely ready, (according to his own words), to go into retirement and become like the patriarchs of old surrounded by all his sons and daughter and most of all his grandkids...lol..no, he's truly a great dad and still going strong, and I really miss him..I love you dad, and may you have another great year serving the Lord..I really wanted to put a recent pic of him, but all I could get my hands on is this pic I found on the Family website that was taken of my parents when they were still in Africa, 2-3 years ago...I guess it'll have to do for now...un abbraccio papi..ti voglio bene..

BIG NEWS!!

I'm so excited!!
My sister Chiara just told me she's pregnant with her 4th child! It's so awesome....I'm mainly announcing it on my blog for my family whom she did not manage to tell yet! I love you sis..

Missing.....

I miss my family!!
Yup, I've just come to the realization how much I miss each and everyone one of them for diffrent things and how nice it was when we were all living closer together and we got to see each other more often, even if at that time I didn't really appreciate the fact cause' I did not take into consideration that sooner or later we'd all be scattered around the world with little or no possiblity to meet anytime soon...

I miss my mom, just because moms are moms and are always nice to have around for a talk, a counsel on what to do, and just to cry on their shoulder if need be...

I miss my dad and all his talks and the way he just loves to play "old", telling us that now he's gonna "retire" and just take care of all his grandkids...

I miss my sister Chiara for the way she's so friendly and foolish and how you can always have a good laugh with her and just be "sisters"...

I miss Andrea and all his "wee words of wisdom" and all his hugs and all his particular ways of being..

I miss Luca and all the good times we had together, and all his wittiness and for being the cool gemini that he is..and all his comp help..

I miss Michael and all the talks we had and for the fact that he always understood what I was going through, and for all the good laughs we had together..

I miss Dora, mainly for the fact that I have not seen her in almost 5 years, but also for the fact that she friendly and bubbly at all times..

I miss Elena for her sweetness, and the way she's so reserved about herself and her deep love for the Lord..

....and last but not least I miss Kathy the " baby" of our family...she's so cool and fun and is great to hang out with even if I never got to do it much with her for the fact that she always lives so far away ever since she became a teen..

And hey, I don't want to forget all my brothers and sisters in law who are also super great and fun to be with and whom I am also super happy, are part of my family....

I love you guys, and even if I never showed it much to you, or don't comunicate with you often, know that you're in my heart always..

Yet another birthday

Ok, so just yesterday we celebrated Matthew's birthday, had a nice dinner fellowship, lots of laughter and a nice tiramisu cake at the end..the first pic is the birthday boy, very happy after having filled himself with a nice big plate of lasagna, in the second one, the twins are just being their usual cute selves, the third pic is the cake(twas' just too good)and last but not least we arrive at the last very strange looking pic..now behind this pic there is a whole story: so some of the young ppl in the home decided to give Matthew for his birthday a "wife and kids", so someone dressed up as a "wife" and the twins got "wrapped" in a sheet for a surprise...of course as you can see in the pic, Matthew was quite perplexed at this wife he got, which looked more like an old hag than anything else..lol..especially with the superman mask and that wig!! Well, we all had a good laugh so it was worth it..well, that's all for now..goodnight all..

hey there you all, been wanting to post for awhile, but just never seem to get around to it, plus being still camera less and always having to borrow doesn't make it any easier to get pics up here...but will try to sometime..plus we will be starting our heafty Christmas push soon, meaning less time to do anything..oh well,byes for now..see you next time with pics up..

Here he is in all his splendor...almost 10 month old and proudly showing off his only two teeth, hoping he'll get more soon so he'll be able to eat some "real food" without choking on it...enjoy!

So yesterday it was my hubby's birthday so we had a nice dinner and cake in the evening....he just turned 35...wow..and to think I met him when he was 25..time does fly...I love you...you are truly a great person..
